About Us
Sharing Wisdom Across Asia
Welcome to our regional distribution network for The Teaching of Buddha (TTOB). Operating with the support of Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai (BDK) Japan, we manage the local distribution of physical books and digital editions to hotels, temples, educational institutions, and cultural associations across Asia.
Our mission is to make the universal truths of compassion, mindfulness, and peace accessible to everyone, free of charge.

Our Legacy
The Vision of Rev. Dr. Yehan Numata

The global movement to distribute these books began with the profound vision of Rev. Dr. Yehan Numata (1897–1994), an industrialist, philanthropist, and devout Buddhist. In 1965, he founded Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai (BDK) in Japan with a singular, non-sectarian dream: to share the foundational wisdom of Buddhism with the entire world, much like other global spiritual texts.
Dr. Numata believed that the teachings of Buddha could cross all cultural and geographic boundaries to foster global harmony. Thanks to his initial vision and enduring legacy, The Teaching of Buddha has been translated into over 40 languages with millions of copies distributed in hotel rooms and institutions worldwide.
“My Path” with Saint Shinran
To truly understand the heart of BDK, one must explore Dr. Numata’s personal reflections in his beloved lecture booklet, “My Path”. Written as a testament to resilience, this moving narrative reveals the deep spiritual framework that sustained him through severe personal illness and professional trials.
Key Teachings and Concept
The Spirit of Gratitude
A daily practice centered on reciprocating the blessings of life — chanting sutras every morning and repaying the Four Gratitudes taught by the Buddha.
“You Are Really Three”
Overcoming life-threatening illness by remembering his mother’s wisdom: “When you are two, remember that you are really three. For Saint Shinran is always with you.”
A Vision for Peace
The booklet highlights his fundamental belief that true world peace can only be achieved by perfecting the human mind, which is elevated through the non-sectarian, timeless wisdom of the Buddha.
